The two-flute design balances cutting speed and precision. The micro-geometry of the face cutting edge creates homogeneous and shiny surfaces, especially in flat areas. Shortened side cutting edges allow for dimensionally accurate finishing of 90° surfaces. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure precision in fine detail machining.
The portfolio comprises under necked variants in the diameter range from 0.2 mm to 0.8 mm, executed with a continuous 4 mm shank diameter. Short versions (2xD) support stable machining, while long variants (up to 7xD) allow for the machining of deep cavities.
The recessed center reduces wear in the flat area. This extends tool life during finishing and semi-finishing operations.
The optimized micro-geometry of the cutting edges ensures a stable milling process and long tool life, avoiding steps on the component. The geometry enables surface qualities of Rz < 1µm. The tool is flexibly designed for dry machining and wet machining possible.
Developed for finishing, semi-finishing, and residual roughing in hardened and high-alloy steels from 40 HRC to 65 HRC. This includes tool steels (e.g., 1.2379, 1.2343, 1.2714) and powder metallurgical steels (e.g., 1.3343, ASP23).
Ideal for the finest machining of micro-molds in the optical and headlight industry. The tool enables the finishing of high-gloss surfaces for reflective components and the machining of complex geometries in precision engineering, such as injection molds for optical components.
